Bloom Boutique, with locations in Boulder City and The District in Green Valley, has been a local treasure for years. We bring this to your attention because it’s actually been 15 years this September since Bloom opened its doors in Hotel Plaza and things are still going strong at the flagship location owned by Bridget O’Neill!

Over the years, she’s seen her business grow to four locations (the original, Boulder City location, plus locations in Henderson, Las Vegas Summerlin, and Reno) and recently we sat down with Bridget to find out some of her secrets to success.

She aptly describes Bloom as a “modern day mercantile” with a range of goods for shoppers including clothing, candles, greeting cards, books, a newly commissioned food line, furniture, the famous Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, and more. If you are looking for a gift for a special someone, chances are you’ll find it at Bloom. On our recent visit, she introduced us to the new food products offered. Bottles of handcrafted aioli, stuffed olives, martini mixes, and more make the perfect hostess gift to the next dinner party.

Unlike many businesses that struggled during COVID-19, Bloom flourished by focusing on their online presence and shoppers responded. She always encouraged her employees to make personal connections with customers, a feature you don’t find in big box stores with mass produced items for sale. She has customers who come from Summerlin to her Boulder City store because they’ve had such positive experiences and Bloom continues to deliver on those expectations.

Bloom is, at its core, a small, family-owned business and you will find her daughter, Maddy working as the Operations Manager, while her other daughter, Ariel, handles payroll. Husband, Tim, may have retired from his law enforcement career, but he still assists Bridget with deliveries and other duties around the shops to keep things running smoothly. Her sales associates at the Boulder City and Henderson locations are dear friends who love many of the same things her customers love! Bloom Boutiques are truly a labor of love.

The vibe in the store is refined, yet eclectic enough to appeal to many. She encourages her shoppers – many who have become friends over the years – to curate items that speak to them, and not necessarily follow interior design rules. If you want to display a French mirror alongside a statement pillow from Midwestern artisans, you can! The important thing is to gather things you love in your spaces so that they always feel and look timeless.

Bloom is celebrating 15 years of business on Tuesday, September 8 starting at 5:30PM at the Boulder City location with a collection of fun things including a tasting of their new food line, a chance to sign up for workshops and classes, build your own bouquet with JMW Floral Design, and more! Make sure you come congratulate Bridget and her team on a fantastic fifteen years and to many more!

Speaking of many more, Bloom Boutiques now offers franchising experiences to those looking to grow in a structured, proven business model. If this sounds like the opportunity you’re looking for, contact Bridget at (702) 294-1010 for more information.
