We always reach out to our amazing Manager and Curator, Tiane Marie at the Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum and ask for a historic photo for the Holiday.
What you’re looking at here from the Archives is the Boulder Canyon Damsite in 1925. Pictured are Nevada Governor James G. Scrugham along with a group of Moapa Paiutes. Tiane tells us that this area is this USBR gauging station site. She says when they were doing Boulder Canyon Damsite visitations in the 20s the Moapa Paiutes would assist due to them understanding how to navigate the land.
