The Boulder City Chamber of Commerce and the City of Boulder City are hosting an entrepreneur workshop with volunteers from SCORE Las Vegas. SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, with approximately 10,000 volunteers in more than 250 chapters nationwide. Since SCORE was founded in 1964, this 501(c)(3) organization has helped more than 11 million current and aspiring entrepreneurs through mentoring, workshops and educational services.
The FREE event is designed for the new small business owner, and those thinking about starting their own businesses. The topic presented by SCORE volunteer, Nathan Conrad, will be how to develop a business plan. The joint session will be held Wednesday, November 9, from 5:00PM to 6:30PM at Boulder City Library. The library is located at 701 Adams Boulevard. You must register in advance, by clicking HERE.
We spoke with Jill Rowland-Lagan, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce. “I am truly looking forward to the event and grateful for the partnership with SCORE and the City in helping new entrepreneurs kick start their business ideas. We have seen direct success with new start-ups from the last joint event and hope to have the same results,” she told us.
Raffi Festekjian, the City’s Economic Development Coordinator, will be on hand as well to review the City’s licensing process and how the distribution of Redevelopment Agency (RDA) funding works.
