The annual Damboree Parade in Boulder City is famous around the state for being the biggest and, of course, the best, Independence Day parade. As such, the various entries are always highly anticipated by the spectators who also hail from all over the state, but especially here in Clark County. This year’s parade had approximately 80 entries, and they were warmly greeted by a happy crowd who enjoyed the festivities despite record temperatures in Southern Nevada.
The Grand Marshal of the parade this year was Alexis “Lexi” Lagan, Boulder City’s own two-time Olympian. She came back to her hometown for a few days of small town celebration before she travels to Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics, which begin later this month.
In addition to sportswoman Lexi, the following local athletes and sports groups participated in the parade as well:
- Boulder BMX
- Boulder City Bass Club
