See Spot Run is asking for help. Just a few weeks away from their Grand Opening (April 16th), they need volunteers for a final clean up/spruce up of the park.
Coffee, juice, water and doughnuts will be provided, so everyone who can pitch in should meet at the new dog park location (in Veteran’s Memorial Park) at 8:30am this Saturday, March 26th!
MARCH 9th: The Grand Opening of the Boulder City Dog Park has been announced for April 16th at 11:00am! See Spot Run invites everyone to come out and celebrate!
Facebook Fan Eric Cicalese asked what the status of the Boulder City Dog Park was…so I emailed our good friends over at See Spot Run for an update. Here is the most recent status from Margaret Kolar…head of See Spot Run:
FEBRUARY 9th: Check out my post over on February 9th to see some photos of the fence being installed at the dog park! Shouldn’t be long now!!!
FEBRUARY 2nd: Over 2,200 feet of fence has been ordered and will be installed over the next few weeks. See Spot Run is asking that visitors wait until construction is complete to patronize the dog park though. Also, they are looking for people to volunteer for park maintenance and clean-up once the park is open. Call 293-6285 if you want to be part of the team!
JANUARY 16th: “Things are coming along on the dog park! The land grading is now done and only a few trees and irrigation need to be finished…they needed to be done after the grading was completed. The fence is being ordered this very week and the schedule is for it to be installed in the next two to three weeks (based on the availability of labor). We’re almost there!”
DECEMBER 5th: Construction on the Boulder City Dog Park is well underway — the ground has been leveled for the small dog area and the agility area. See Spot Run reports that the irrigation has been done, the trees have been planted and the decomposed granite path has been laid in the large dog area. We’ll let you know when we hear of a Grand Opening date!
NOVEMBER 27th: See Spot Run says to head on over to the site of the soon-to-be Boulder City Dog Park (SE corner of Veteran’s Memorial Park) this morning (the earlier the better) to help plant trees! BYOS….Bring Your Own Shovel!
