Boulder City Fire Department Staff Achieve Coveted Credentialing

Many business sectors have advanced accreditation and credentialing for professionals in those fields. Boulder City Fire Department is no exception. As a matter of fact, as an agency, Boulder City Fire Department is one of only 309 agencies worldwide accredited by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) through the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE). The members of the department can achieve credentialing thru the Commision on Professional Credentialing (CPC). These designations are important to the members, but even more important to the community because it means the fire department is meeting and exceeding professional standards and delivering the highest quality emergency services to Boulder City.
It's also an ongoing process: once an agency or staff professional has received accreditation, they continue to undergo assessments and professional development throughout their careers. This is also a benefit to the local community. Continually improving processes and creating plans to carry out the department's defined goals and objectives.
The following Boulder City Fire Department personnel are professionally credentialed by CPC:
- Fire Chief Will Gray, Chief Fire Officer (one of 1858 CFOs in the world)
- Deputy Fire Chief Greg Chesser, Chief Fire Officer (one of 1858 CFOs in the world)
- Captain Josh Barrone, Fire Officer (one of 702 FOs in the world)
- Captain Aaron Bleck, Fire Officer (one of 702 FOs in the world)
- Paramedic/Firefighter Jimmy Whitworth, Fire Officer (one of 702 FOs in the world)
- Fire Analyst Walter West, Chief EMS Officer (one of 180 CEMSOs in the world)
As you can see, Boulder City Fire Department is already on the way to increasing professionalism and dedication to the community they serve. Congratulations to all members of BCFD on their agency's accreditation and these six individual officers who have achieved professional credentialing.
