Boulder City Library: April Programming

While we can hardly believe it’s almost April, things are springing up at our local library. In addition to their regular monthly programming, they’ve added some fun events for the community as well. Here are the things you can look forward to in April:

Ages 0-5 Programs located in Board Room
Tuesdays at 10:30AM: Toddler Tuesday Storytime: Ages 1-3 and Caregiver. Join us for stories, songs, and a coloring sheet.
Fridays at 10:30AM: Drop In Storytime: Ages 0-5 and Caregiver. Join us for stories, songs, and crafts.

Ages 6-11 Programs located in Community Room
Thursday, April 7 & April 21 at 3:30PM: Lego Building Challenge: Ages 6+. We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination!
Saturday, April 2 at 1:pm Art Club: Ages 6+. Learn about art concepts and make your own art to take home.

Ages 12-18 Programs in Community Room 
Tuesdays April 5 & April 19 at 3:30pm: Roleplayers’ Guild, Ages 12-18. Go on a quest, fight dragons, and loot the villages!

Ages 18+ Programs in Community Room, except where noted
Tuesdays at 2:30pm: Crochet for A Cause, Board Room
Thursdays at 9am: Early Risers Yoga: Ages 18+
Wednesday, April 6 at 10:00AM: Becca’s Book Club, Ages 18+
Tuesday, April 12 at 12:00PM: Spill the Tea Book Club, Ages 18+ Virtual (https://www.gotomeet.me/bclibrary/spill-the-tea-book-club).
Wednesday, April 20 at 6:00PM: Library Board of Trustees Meeting, Board room.
Friday, April 22 at 5:30PM: After Hours Movie: The Matrix Resurrections (R). Ages 18+. Bring snacks, a comfy blanket, pillow, or chair.
Saturday, April 23 at 11:00AM: Ancestry Club: All Ages. Learn from others as you research your family history using library resources.
Saturday, April 23 at 2:00PM: How Not To Burn Toast: 日本料理 Cooking Japanese Ages 18+.
Sunday, April 24 at 2:00PM: Tech Tutoring; Creating a Facebook Account, Ages 18+.
Tuesday, April 26 at 5:30PM: Roleplayers’ Guild.
Saturday, April 30 at 1:00PM: Mixed Media Art: Ages 18+. Sign up at the Information Desk.

Special Community Events:

  • Saturday, April 9 at 1:00PM: An Afternoon of Classical Guitar with Kyle Khembunjong in the Amphitheater
  • Wednesday, April 13 at 12:00PM: Unity Circus Project in Community Room. Learn how to juggle, wire walk and more!
  • Saturday, April 16 at 1:00PM: Jazz in the Amphitheater
  • Friday, April 29 at 7:30PM: Family Movie: Encanto (PG) in the Amphitheater

Please note the Library will be closed Sunday, April 19 for the Easter Sunday holiday and Wednesday, April 27 for Staff Development Day. The Library is located at 701 Adams Boulevard. it is open Monday thru Thursday from 10:00AM to 8:00PM and Friday thru Sunday 10:00AM to 5:00PM. Early Browsing hours are Wednesdays from 9:00AM to 10:00AM.
