The Boulder City Library is pleased to present its events for the new school year! Below you’ll find a schedule of events for August 2023:
Ages 0-5 Programs
- There are no Storytimes in the Month of August while we prepare for Fall Programming.
Ages 6-11 Programs
- Saturday, August 12 at 1:00PM: Art Club: Ages 6+, Board Room. Learn about art concepts and make your own art to take home.
- Tuesday, August 22 at 3:30PM: Lego Building Challenge: Ages 6+, Community Room. We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination!
Family Programs
- Monday, August 14 at 2:00PM: Homeschool Hangout: ages 6+ in the Community Room. Learn from other Homeschooling families in the community.
- Friday, August 18 at 5:30PM: After Hours Family Game Night: all ages in the Community Room. Come relax and play games with your family!
Ages 18+ Programs
- Tuesdays at 2:30PM: Crochet for A Cause in the Board Room.
- Tuesdays, 8/8 & 8/22 at 10:00AM: Cut-Ups Quilting Club in the Community Room.
- Saturday, August 12 at 2:00PM: How Not To Burn Toast: Oodles of Cold Noodles Ages 18+ in the Community Room.
- Wednesday, August 16 at 6:00PM: Library Board of Trustees Meeting in the Board Room.
- Saturday, August 19 at 1:00PM: Mixed Media Art: Gel Printing in the Community Room. Sign-ups are required. This is a two-hour class.
- Saturday, August 26 at 11:00AM: Ancestry Club: All Ages in the Board Room. Learn from others as you research your family history using library resources
- Sunday, August 27 at 11:00AM: Maker Class: Knitting basics with Purls and Postulates in the Community Room. Sign-ups required.
- Sunday, August 27 at 2:00PM: Maker Class: Knitting Help with Purls and Postulates in the Community Room. Sign-ups required. Bring your projects you are stuck on for knitting help!
- Roleplayers’ Guild Programs Tuesdays, 8/1, 8/15, & 8/29 at 3:30PM: Roleplayers Guild Free Play and Full Guest Game: Ages 9-15 in the Community Room. Sign Ups Required.
- Fridays, 8/4 & 8/18 at 2:30PM Roleplayers Guild Strixhaven: Ages 12-17 iin the Community Room. Sign Ups Required.
- Wednesdays, 8/16 & 8/30 at 3:30PM Roleplayers Guild Rise of Tiamat: Ages 9-14, Community Room. Sign Ups Required.
