The Boulder City Library is home to a number of special events this month! These include:
- Saturday, December 7 at 3:00PM: Duffy Hudson Presents A Christmas Carol: Join us to celebrate the kickoff to our winter reading program with this performance of a holiday classic. Community Room.
- Monday, December 23 at 1:00PM: Polar Express Movie Party: ALL AGES. Combined board and community rooms. Join us to watch The Polar Express and have some holiday FUN!
- Tuesday, December 31 at 11:30AM: Gingerbread Storytime and Craft Party: ALL AGES. Community Room. Join us for some winter holiday fun with Gingerbread crafts and activities.
SPECIAL NOTES: The library, located at 701 Adams Boulevard in ABC Park will be closed Tuesday, December 24, Wednesday, December 25 and Wednesday, January 1 for the Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day holidays. They will close Tuesday, December 31 at 5:00PM. The online library catalog is available 24/7/365 HERE. You can also access the digital library via Libby HERE.
Ages 0-5 Programs
Tuesdays at 10:30AM: Toddler Tuesday Storytime: Ages 1-3 and Caregiver, Board Room. Join us for stories, songs, and a coloring sheet.
Thursdays at 9:30AM: Early Risers Lapsit Storytime: Ages 0-2 and Caregiver, Community Room. Join us for stories and songs.
Fridays at 10:30AM: Drop In Storytime: Ages 0-5 and Caregiver, Board Room. Join us for stories, songs, and crafts.
Ages 6-11 Programs
Tuesdays, December 3 & December 17 at 3:30PM: Lego Building Challenge: Community Room. We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination!
Ages 12-18 Programs
School Days at 2:30PM: Teen Time, Teen Area. Color, play board games, and hang out with your friends.
Roleplayers’ Guild: Dungeon and Dragons 5e, Nevada Room.
Family Programs
Sunday, December 1 at 2:00PM: Holiday Origami: fold and cut festive trees! no supplies needed. Ages 10+, Community Room.
Monday, December 9 at 2:00PM: Homeschool Hangout: ages 6+ Community Room. Learn from other Homeschooling families in the community.
Makerspace Classes
Sunday, December 8 at 11:00AM: Cricut Certification Class, Makerspace. Sign ups required.
Monday, December 9 at 3:30PM: Button Maker & Die Cut Certification Class, Makerspace. Sign ups required.
Tuesday, December 10 at 3:30PM: Laser Engraver Certification Class, Makerspace. Sign ups required.
Wednesdays, 2:00PM to 4:00PM: Open Maker Time: Makerspace. Must be certified on the machines you intend to use.

Tech teachers are available in December! To sign-up for a one-on-one time, please visit the information desk or call the Boulder City Library at (702) 293-1281. Tech Teachers are available on Tuesdays at 1:00PM and 2:00PM, Wednesdays 12:00PM and 1:00PM, and Thursdays 12:00PM and 1:00PM.
