The Library will be closed Monday, October 13 for Indigenous Peoples Day and Columbus Day. The Library will also be closed on Friday, October 31 for Nevada Day. The library’s regular hours are Monday thru Thursday, from 10:00AM to 8:00PM and Friday thru Sunday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. The library has a website, which you can access by clicking HERE. Thursday, October 23 at 6:00PMThe Weird World of Renaissance Magic- with Professor Katherine Walker: This talk will highlight how authors like Shakespeare and his contemporaries experimented with belief in magic, producing spectacular results upon the stage. Focus will be on the texts and belief of magic, where figures like faeries, ghosts, and demons will make an appearance. We’ll meet an interesting cast of characters, from charlatans to astrologers, witches and priests.
