With the end of summer lots of activities are returning to the Boulder City Library for September, 2018. We’ve got some of the highlights for you below.
September 14 – 5:30pm After Hours Movie: Book Club (PG-13): Ages 13+, Community Room.
September 15 – 1pm Local Author Fair: All Ages, Community Room. Visit some of our local writing talent.
September 23-29 is Banned Books Week. The National Library Association is calling attention to this issue, and the BC Library has a variety of activities to support and educate on this matter:
24th – 10am Banned Crafts: Crafts based on Banned Books: All Ages, Community Room. Make a fun creation based on your favorite Banned Book!
25th – 6pm Banned Book Speed Dating: All Ages, Community Room. Get to know books that have been banned around the world.
26th – 3:30pm Banned Books Sign Making: All Ages, Board Room. Speak out for your freedom to read and make a sign supporting your favorite book!
27th – 6pm Banned Storytime: All Ages, Community Room. Join us for a storytime celebrating books that have been banned!
28th – 5:30pm Banned Movie: A Wrinkle in Time: PG, All Ages, Community Room.
