With the temperatures rising, the need for indoor activities increases and the library has plenty of fun scheduled for July!

Library Hours for July:

The Library will be closed Friday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day Holiday.
Monday thru Thursday, 10:00AM to 8:00PM.
Friday thru Sunday, 10:00AM to 5:00PM.
Early Browing Time for Seniors: Wednesdays 9:00AM to 10:00AM.

Ages 0-5 Programs

Tuesdays at 10:30AM Toddler Tuesday Storytime: Ages 1-3 and Caregiver. Join us for stories, songs, and a coloring sheet. Board Room.
Fridays at 10:30AM Drop In Storytime: Ages 0-5 and Caregiver. Join us for stories, songs, and crafts. Board Room.
Thursdays at 9:30AM Early Risers Lapsit Storytime: Ages 0-2 and Caregiver. Join us for stories and songs. Board Room.
Tuesdays, 7/8 & 7/22 at 11:00AM Duplo Building Club: Bring your early learners to Duplo building club – we’ll provide the blocks, and you provide the creativity. Ages 0-5 with caregiver. Board Room.
Wednesday, July 9 at 11:30AM Self-Awareness with PBS Kids Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood: Social & emotional learning workshop using activities and introducing strategies to help children name and express their emotions in healthy ways. Sign-ups required. Program for CHILDREN Ages 4-5. Community Room.
Wednesday, July 16 at 11:30AM Social and Emotional Learning with UNR: Hosted by UNR- part parenting workshop to foster parent-child connection and part hands-on learning activity- this workshop introduces the benefits of social and emotional learning. Sign-ups required. Program is for children ages 3-5 and caregiver. Board Room.
Wednesday, July 23 at 11:30AM The Design Process with PBS Kids Work It Out Wombats: Tinker, Test, and Try with Work It Out Wombats! Use problem-solving and flexible thinking to create, test, and improve building your own unique sculptures. Sign-ups required. Program for children Ages 4-5. Community Room.

Mondays, 7/14 & 7/28 at 3:30PM Youth Coding Club: Introduces coding through hands-on activities, STEAM Kits, and online computer coding programs. Ages 6-11. Community Room.
Tuesdays, 7/8 & 7/22 at 3:30PM Lego Building Challenge: We provide the LEGO, you provide the imagination! Ages 6-11. Community Room.
Thursday, July 10 at 1:00PM Youth Art Club: explore your creativity while creating various art or craft projects. Ages 6-11. Community Room.
Thursday, July 17 at 1:30PM Creative Problem-Solving with PBS Kids Lyla in the Loop: Hands on STEAM workshop to create, test, and improve on building your own carnival games. Practice problem solving while exploring engineering, creativity, and teamwork. Sign-ups required. Program for children Ages 6-8. Community Room

Thursday, July 24 at 5:30PM Screen Time Smarts with UNR: Hosted by UNR- this parenting workshop focuses on parenting in the digital age- includes topics on healthy habits, media use guidelines, digital citizenship, online safety, and cyber bullying. Sign-ups required. Both parent and child must attend. Program is 1.5 hours. Ages PreK – 5th grade. Community Room.
Friday, July 25 at 11:00AM Teddy Bear Sleepover: Ever wonder what happens at the library when it is closed? We will share our secret world with your favorite stuffed animal at our Teddy Bear Sleep Over. Sign-ups required. Any stuffed animal or doll is invited. Limit 1 per child. Board Room.
