Boulder City Library: February 2026 Events

The Boulder City Library is one of our community’s greatest resources. They’ve got a lot of great things coming up this month so be sure to mark your calendar with the events you and your family want to attend!

The library is closed on Monday, February 16 in observance of President’s Day. The normal hours for the library are Monday thru Thursday, from 10:00AM to 8:00PM and Friday thru Sunday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.

Ages 0-5 Programs

  • Tuesdays at 10:30AM: Toddler Tuesday Storytime: Ages 1-3 and Caregiver. Join us for stories, songs, And A craft or activity. Board Room
  • Thursdays at 9:30AM:Early Risers Lapsit Storytime: Ages 0-2 and Caregiver. Join us for stories, songs, and play. Board Room.
  • Fridays at 10:30AM: Drop In Storytime: Ages 0-5 and Caregiver. Join us for stories, songs, and crafts. Board Room.
  • Wednesday, February 4 at 10:30AM: World Read Aloud Day- Storytime: Families join us to celebrate World Read Aloud Day with a special storytime of books featuring a groovy cat! Ages 0-5. Board Room.
  • Saturday, February 7 at 10:30AM: Building Bridges Family Engagement-Exploring the Engineering Design Process: Join us for a STEAM activity building bridges out of recycled materials. Ages 4-6 with parent/caregiver. Community Room.

Ages 6-11 Programs

  • Wednesdays 2/4 & 2/18 at 3:30PM: Youth Coding Club: Experience fun, hands-on exploration using simple robots and coding activities. Ages 6-11. Community Room.
  • Tuesday, February 17 at 3:30PM: STEAM Lab: Step into a world where Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math come alive! Join us and unleash your inner maker because the best way to learn is by doing! Ages: 6-11. Community Room.
  • Thursday, February 19 at 4:00PM: Youth Beginner Sewing Class: Join us for a youth beginner sewing machine basics class to learn to make a drawstring bag. Registration is required. Parents of children ages 6-12, please attend with your child for the duration of the class to provide assistance for your child. In the event you are unable to attend, please call 702-293-1281 to cancel your registration. Ages 6-17. Community Room.
  • Saturday, February 28 at 1:00PM: Youth Art Club: Come Create masterpieces at the library with various craft or art projects. Ages 6-11. Community Room.

Ages 12-18 Programs

  • School Days at 2:00PM: Teen Time: Coloring, puzzles, board games, or crafts while you hang out with your friends. Teen Area.
  • Thursday, February 19 at 4:00PM: Youth Beginner Sewing Class: Join us for a youth beginner sewing machine basics class to learn to make a drawstring bag. Registration is required. Parents of children ages 6-12, please attend with your child for the duration of the class to provide assistance for your child. In the event you are unable to attend, please call 702-293-1281 to cancel your registration. Ages 6-17. Community Room.
  • Mondays at 3:00PM: Roleplayers Guild- Play Dungeons & Dragons. Ages 12-18. Nevada Room.

Family Programs

  • Tuesdays 2/10 & 2/24 at 3:30PM: Lego & Duplo Building Club: Bring the family for some creative fun! We provide the Legos & Duplo, you provide the imagination! Duplo available for kids ages 0-5 to build. Lego available for kids ages 6-11 to build. Parents/caregivers please attend for the duration of the program. Community Room.
  • Saturday, February 7: Take your Child to the Library Day: Celebrate by visiting us and participating in our fun scavenger hunt. Once completed, head to the youth desk for a treasure chest prize.

All Ages Programs

  • Sunday, February 1 at 2:00PM: Origami- Valentine’s Day: Low-key feeling the love vibes rn? Whip up some cute ‘lil origami heart boxes for your fave human. Ages 8+. Community Room.
  • Sunday, February 22 at 2:00PM: Singing in the Stacks- Library Karaoke: From Country to Christmas, Metal to Musicals, Rock to reggae, Opera to Oldies, join us and sing your favorite songs. No experience needed. Beginners are welcome! No registration required. Ages 8+. Combined Community & Board Rooms.

Ages 18+ Programs

  • Mondays at 1:00PM: Easy Does It Yoga: Relax and unwind. Please wear comfortable clothing. Use our mats, blocks, and straps, or bring your own! *NO YOGA ON 2/16/26!* Ages 18+.  Community Room.
  • Tuesdays at 2:30PM: Crochet for A Cause: Help crochet mats for people experiencing homelessness. Board Room.
  • Monday, February 2 at 11:00AM: Ancestry Club: Learn from others as you research your family history. Board room.
  • Tuesday, February 3 at 6:00PM: Tarot Outside the Box- Beginner’s Mind: Quarterly tarot workshop includes activities, games, techniques, and practice. Beginners are welcome. Please bring a tarot deck, a journal, and a writing implement. We have tarot decks available for in-library use too! Ages 18+. Community Room.
  • Wednesday, February 4 at 6:30PM: Dam Book Club: Join us to discuss “Song of Achilles” by Madeline Miller. To obtain a copy of the book, see Jessie. Meet at Cornish Pasty Co.
  • Tuesdays, 2/10 & 2/24 at 10:00AM: Quilt Cut Ups Community Room.
  • Tuesday, February 10 at 6:00PM: Crochet Skills Class- Stitch TBD: Monthly crochet project class- learn a new stitch and meet other crocheters. Some crochet experience required. Class runs 6:00PM to 7:30PM. Board Room. *Now on the 2nd Tuesday of the month*
  • Thursday, February 12 at 11:30AM: Becca’s Book Club: Ages 18+. Community Room. *Now on the 2nd Thursday of the month!*
  • Wednesday, February 18 at 6:00PM: Library Board of Trustees Meeting. Board Room.
  • Friday, February 20 at 11:00AM: Adult Beginner Sewing Workshop: Join us for a beginner Adult sewing machine basics class. Space is limited. In-person registration is required. $10 materials fee must be paid in cash when registering for the class. $10 materials fee is non-refundable. In the event you are unable to attend, please call 702-293-1281 to cancel your registration.

  • Saturday, February 21 at 2:00PM How Not To Burn Toast- Cuckoo for Cocoa: Let’s learn all about chocolate! Ages 16+. Community Room.

Tech Teachers

Tech Teacher APPOINTMENTS are available! To sign-up for a one-on-one time, please visit the information desk or call the library at 702-293-1281. Exclusions FOR TECH TEACHER INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Device repairs, device set-up, same day appointments, over the phone appointments, and/or multiple same week appointments. Tech Teachers are available on Tuesdays 3:00PM & 4:00PM and Thursdays 1:00PM and 2:00PM.

Makerspace Programs
  • Weekly Makerspace Times: Space is LIMITED– machines are first come, first serve.
  • Tuesdays 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Open Maker Time: Must be certified on the machines you intend to use. Makerspace.
  • Wednesdays 2:00PM to 4:00PM. Open Maker Time: Must be certified on the machines you intend to use. Makerspace.

  • Thursday, February 5 at 2:00PM: Cricut Certification Class: Sign-ups required. Makerspace.
  • Thursday, February 12 at 2:00PM: Button Maker & Die Cut Certification Class: Sign-ups required. Makerspace.
  • Thursday, February 19 at 2:00PM: Laser Engraver Certification Class: Sign-ups required. Makerspace.
  • Thursday, February 26 at 11:30AM: Sewing Machine Certification Class: This class is to show the basic operations of the machine. This class does not include a project. Sign-ups required. Makerspace.
