The Boulder City Library has made several announcements to coincide with the beginning of summer. First of all, library building hours will be changing on June 12. Starting that Saturday, the library will be open Monday thru Thursday, from 10:00AM to 8:00PM. On Friday thru Sunday, the library will be open from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. Also beginning Saturday, June 12, the Community Room at the Library will be available for community use. To make a reservation, call (702) 293-1281 during normal business hours.
The Library has also launched its Tails & Tales Summer Reading Program. It runs from June 1 thru July 31. The Grand Prize winner will receive a Kindle Fire! To sign up for summer reading, head over to Beanstack HERE.
The Library is also celebrating LGBTQIA Pride Month with materials by or about LGBTQIA authors or characters. Check out the display inside the Library for more information about this celebration. Pride Month continues thru the end of June.
You can also apply for the Federal Communications Commission’s Emergency Broadband Benefit at the Library. This temporary program provides a discount of up to $50/month toward broadband service. The benefit is $75/month for those living on Tribal lands. You must qualify to take advantage of this discount.
