Library Events Sep 2021

The Boulder City Library, located at 701 Adams Boulevard, is pleased to announce the return of in-library programming, beginning in September. Some of these events include:

🇺🇸 PATRIOT DAY DISPLAY 🇺🇸

The library remembers the lives lost 20 years ago on September 11, 2001 with a special poster exhibit in the Library Rotunda. Please come and pay your respects on this solemn occasion.

There are several age-appropriate gatherings planned for September for library patrons of all ages. Scroll down to find events of interest to you and your family, including movies, magic, crafts and live performances!

Ages 0-5 Programs – All programs take place in the Board Room of the Library

  • MONDAYS at 10:30AM: Preschool Prep Storytime for ages 3-5 and caregiver
  • TUESDAYS at 10:30AM: Toddler Tuesday Storytime for ages 1-3 and caregiver
  • WEDNESDAYS at 10:30AM: Baby Lapsit Storytime for ages 0-18 months and caregiver
  • FRIDAYS at 10:30AM: Dropin Storytime for ages 0-5

Ages 6-11 Programs – All programs take place in the Community Room of the Library

  • THURSDAY SEP 2 at 3:30PM: Afternoon Movie 101 Dalmations (1961)
  • SATURDAY SEP 4 at 1:00PM: Art Club
  • TUESDAY SEP 7 AND SEP 21 at 2:00PM: Homeschool Hangout
  • THURSDAY SEP 23 at 3:30PM: Afternoon Move 101 Dalmations (1996)

Ages 12-18 Programs – All programs take place in the Community Room of the Library

  • FRIDAY SEP 3 at 5:30PM: After Hours Movie Teen Wolf (1985) Rated PG
  • TUESDAY SEP 7 AND SEP 21 at 3:00PM: Roleplayers’ Guild
  • MONDAY SEP 13 at 3:00PM: Teen Crafternoon Dot Paint Bags
  • MONDAY SEP 13 at 6:00PM: Mario Party (signups required and close Sep 10)
  • MONDAY SEP 27 at 3:00PM: Teen Crafternoon Melting Bead Art

Ages 18+ Programs – Various locations and online

  • WEDNESDAYS EXCEPT 09/15 at 1:00PM: Mindful Hour (CLICK HERE FOR VIRTUAL LOCATION)
  • WEDNESDAY SEP 15 at 6:00PM: Library Board of Trustees Meeting in the Board Room
  • FRIDAY SEP 17 at 5:30PM: After Hours Movie News of the World (2020) Rated PG-13
  • SATURDAY SEP 18 at 2:00PM: Makin’ Bacon Come make bacon from scratch in the Community Room
  • SATURDAY SEP 25 at 2:00PM: Duffy Hudson as Edgar Allen Poe in the Community Room (all ages welcome!)
  • WEDNESDAY SEP 29 at 5:30PM: Roleplayers’ Guild in the Community Room

  • THURSDAY SEP 2 AND SEP 16 at 7:00PM: Family Storytime
  • SATURDAY SEP 25 at 11:00AM: Duffy Hudson Performs Magic
  • SATURDAY SEP 25 at 2:00PM: Duffy Hudson as Edgar Allen Poe

Library hours will be Monday thru Thursday from 10:00AM to 8:00PM, Friday thru Sunday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM, Early Browsing Hours on Wednesdays from 9:00AM to 10:00AM. The Library will be closed Monday, September 6 for Labor Day and Friday, September 24 for Staff Development Day.
