…Boulder City Officials and some of his officers (current and retired). Yes, this is quite an interesting turn of events.
On Wednesday, Chief Finn apparently filed a lawsuit against the city attorney, a city councilperson, one of his current police officers, a retired police officer, and the attorney for the Mongols for conspiring to oust him from his job.
All wrapped up in here is the ongoing lawsuit over the handling of the June 2012 Mongols’ gathering, recent allegations that the Chief ordered the destruction of emails, and the latest addition of a conspiracy to replace him with one of his officers.

Update: Quite the lively discussion is happening on Facebook between the Fans (not to mention posts from the Mongols’ attorney and Chief Finn’s sister), so click here to check that out.
Update 2: Also posted to Facebook is that the police union apparently took a “vote of no confidence” on Tuesday…click here for the story on their website about that.
Update 3: The Boulder City Council met on Tuesday and the outcome was to ask that the state impartially investigate the claims of wrongdoing, so click here for the link to that.
Update 4: The courts dismissed the lawsuit against the Mongols’ attorney this morning (Jan. 15th, 2013) and shortly thereafter, Chief Finn voluntarily dismissed his lawsuits against the city’s attorney, his current police officer, and the retired police officer…but did not dismiss the lawsuit against the city councilperson.
