Fan Iggy was looking for some information on what Boulder City laws were in place about where fireworks could be set off this holiday weekend and I thought that was an interesting question!
We weren’t able to come up with a specific regulations pertaining to what was within Boulder City limits, but we do know that fireworks are prohibited within Lake Mead National Recreation Area (not even sparklers).
In checking with the Boulder City Fire Department, “Safe and Sane” fireworks are legal in Boulder City – as we know and limiting the possibility of causing damage to someone else’s property would be smart, so using your fireworks on your own property would be the most appropriate location. Bear in mind though, that in the case where fireworks cause damage, those responsible may be required to pay restitution.
Here’s a page I found on Clark County’s website about Fireworks safety and which fireworks are specifically prohibited (which are those that explode (fire crackers, cherry bombs, etc.) and those that are rockets (bottle rockets, roman candles, etc.).
The Damboree fireworks show begins at 9pm at Veteran’s Memorial Park (the evening’s festivities begin there at 6pm) … here’s a link to the entire schedule for ya!
