The Boulder City Fire Department will be hosting a Senior Safety Day this Thursday, October 26 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. The event takes place at the Senior Center, 813 Arizona Street. Some of the vendors to appear at the event include Boulder City Fire Department, Boulder City Police Department, Boulder City Hospital, Boulder City Primary Care, Nathan Adelson Hospice, Southern Nevada Senior Law Program, Boulder Dam Credit Union, Boulder City Parks and Recreation, and the Boulder City Senior Center.
Discussion topics will be centered on safety for the senior citizens of our community. Such topics include: File of Life, Fall Prevention, Fraud Protection, Wills, Trusts and POAs, Home Security, and Functional Movement. Blood pressure checks and flu vaccines will be free for the attendees 65 and older. Those wanting vaccinations should bring their health insurance card and photo identification.
