Boulder City Soap and Candle Under New Ownership

We were sad to learn last year that Boulder City Soap and Candle would be closing because the previous owner, Kim, was planning to move out of the area. So it was great news to find out the business had been sold and would continue operating in its familiar downtown location at 501 Nevada Way, Suite #2! We caught up with Sabrina Russo, the new owner, recently and we have some fun and exciting news to share!

First of all, no need to worry about all your favorite scents and products – Sabrina hasn't changed any of the recipes she uses and all the favorites are still there. One of the first things you notice when you walk in, is the beautiful scents wafting through the store. It's a lot to take in, but then you're treated to the visual treat of all the wonderful product she carries in the store. Of course there are large displays of wonderful soaps and candles (it's in the name, after all!!), but there's even more to be had once you look around. On our recent visit, we found essential oils, car air fresheners, bath bombs, salt and sugar scrubs, shower steamers, luxurious lotions and hand sanitizers in both gel and spray varieties. All come carefully crafted and scented with the ingredients and scents customers have come to expect from the shop.

One of the most exciting things we saw on our recent trip was a men's product line. They have soaps, a wonderful shaving cream, and even a deep cleaning scrub in warm, masculine scents for men who like to keep clean and smell nice. Nothing girly about these products, that's for sure!

Sabrina also told us that they will make custom scents and blends, according to customers' requests. In fact, she had just packaged up a custom order for a regular customer. They also make custom gift baskets with products of the customer's choice. This would be a great idea for baby or bridal showers, birthday gifts, wedding favors or corporate events. Everyone can always use a little more pampering and self-care these days!

Sabrina, a Nevada native, stressed to us that the store is family owned and operated. Monique, a longtime employee may not be blood-related, but she's definitely part of the Boulder City Soap and Candle Company family! On our recent visit, Sabrina was joined by her mom, Carol, and Monique as they discussed the store and plans for the future. It's important to be part of the community, Sabrina noted, and you may have noticed this when a local Girl Scout troop was selling cookies outside the store recently.

The store's motto is "Keep it Clean" and we can't imagine a better place to have them but here in Clean, Green, Boulder City! Make sure you stop by soon and pick up some products for your loved ones, or even for yourself. You'll find, as we did, there's always a good reason to take care of yourself with special products designed to keep you and your home fresh and clean.
