Last Spring, a scout knocked on my door and asked me to buy a $5 discount card as a fundraiser for his troop – which I did. Although I was negligent in using the card at the g-zillion places in Vegas it gave discounts for…I DID use it for $1 off foot-long sandwiches at Subway at least a dozen times — so it more than paid for itself.
This year, I saw Scouts from another troop selling them in front of the Horizon Dr. Vons store – but I opted not to buy one…assuming I’d see the Scouts in front of our stores or Credit Union (and as you know – I’m a fan of shopping local). Unfortunately – I never did cross paths with our BC Scouts, so figured I was outta luck until I remembered we have Super Fan Anthony Martinez on BC Social!
I got in touch with Anthony, who is involved with Cub Scout Pack 12 here in Boulder City and he was able to dig up some more 2011-2012 Expo cards (good till 3/31/12) to offer any Fans who missed their chance to buy them. Just contact him through his Facebook page by clicking here or you can call him at (702) 835-3450 so he can get a count of how many cards are needed (they’re $5 each).
Cub Scout Pack 12 is having a $5 car wash fundraiser on Saturday, May 28th from 8am – 2pm at the Boulder City McDonald’s – so if you do want to get your 2011 Expo card – you can pick it up from Anthony at the car wash on the 28th…and get your car washed at the same time…handy!!!!
