I happened upon a couple of lovely ladies on their cell phones outside Branch Cleaners (between Toto’s Mexican Restaurant and the UPS Store) … they were both on the phone trying to find out where their clothes were since despite dropping off laundry as late as a week ago, there is a big sign on the door that said the store was closing more than two weeks ago. And they were perplexed, as you can imagine!
It seems the woman who ran the store recently became ill (and sadly, one of the ladies said she has since passed away), so they’ve closed up this location and taken all of the clothes to another location down in Henderson. At least – this is the outcome of the phone calls made by the lovely ladies in search of their own clothes.
For folks looking for their clothing – they are now awaiting you at Village East Cleaners, located at 1760 West Horizon Ridge (at 215 & Valle Verde, off Horizon Ridge). The phone number there is (702) 897-0098 and their website says they’re open from 7am – 7pm on Monday – Saturday and 10am – 3pm on Sundays.
For folks looking for a new laundry/dry cleaning service that is located in Boulder City — you might check out Sudz Laundry at 1406 Nevada Highway (between 9th Island SUP and All Mountain Cyclery). Their website at www.bouldercitysudz.com says they offer drop-off laundry, dry cleaning and self-service laundry and if you want to follow them on Facebook, you can become a Fan on their Facebook page by CLICKING HERE.
Update: Several Facebook Fans also recommended Yo’s in the comments for this post, so I wanted to add their info here also: They are apparently located at 1308 Nevada Hwy (across the street from McDonald’s). Happy cleaning!
