Cardboard Boat Races Coming July 26th

The Annual Cardboard Boat Races are Wednesday, July 26th at 6:00PM at the Boulder City Pool! Registration and judging are first, followed by the actual races at 7:00PM. The throwback photos above show some of the cool entries from previous years!

This year's theme is "The World of Dr Seuss" and the boats are pushed by their human 'engines' in their race where they compete for 1st and 2nd place in each swim heat.

Prizes are awarded for each of the following: Most Original, Funniest, Best Character Depiction, Mayor's Award, and the Fastest Sinking Ship! There are first and second place medals for each heat in the following age groups:

• 6 years old and under

• 7-8 year olds

• 9-10 year olds

• 11-12 year olds

• 13-15 year olds

• 16 year olds and older

This event is FREE so they're no cost to participate beyond your construction materials!

Registration forms with the rules and additional information are available at the Boulder City Pool, located at 861 Avenue B. We look forward to seeing all the creative entries!
