Moving stinks, right? But you wouldn’t know it looking at these two ladies – Jill Lagan, CEO of the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce along with her number one, Kassie Ackerson, the Chamber Office Manager are THRILLED to finally be moving into their new spot!
The former Nevada Welcome Center, located at the intersection known as the ‘Y’ at Nevada Way and Boulder City Pkwy. was vacated about a year ago when the state gave up the lease on that location.
Jill had immediately jumped at the chance to possibly make that into a new ‘adventure hub’ for the various outfitters that are based here. Visitors could be dropped at a centralized location, and then go to their various experiences. Then also the Boulder City Express could bring them down to Lake Mead/Hoover Dam and also then into the heart of Boulder City’s downtown.
Many challenges lie ahead, as now this will also be the primary location for the Chamber of Commerce. But they’re so dang happy right now to get their new office set up, they’ll deal with the rest as it comes. Congrats ladies! We’ll keep you posted on when their new office opens for real.
