Chautauqua Landing Soon in Boulder City

This year’s Boulder City Chautauqua is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 16 and 17. The theme for this year’s event is “Pushing the Envelope”, featuring portrayals of three renowned and accomplished aviation pioneers. The pilots who will be remembered are Amelia Earhart (Friday at 6:00PM), Jackie Cochran (Saturday at 1:00PM), and Chuck Yeager (Saturday at 6:00PM).

Tickets are $15 per performance and can be purchased at the following locations:

  • Ace Hardware, 541 Nevada Way
  • Boulder City Chamber of Commerce, 100 Nevada Way
  • Boulder Dam Hotel, 1305 Arizona Stree
  • Online by CLICKING HERE

Carol Starre-Kmiecik will portray Amelia Earhart on Friday, September 16 at 6:00PM. Nancy Hasty will be featured as Jackie Cochran on Saturday, September 17 at the 1:00PM matinee. Concluding the performances on Saturday night at 6:00PM, Doug Mishler will be portraying Chuck Yeager.

All performances will take place at Boulder Creek Golf Course Pavilion, located at 1501 Veterans Memorial Drive.

In addition to the character portrayals, there will be local musical acts performing. The Lenores will perform Friday night. Another act will perform before Saturday’s matinee. Prior to the Saturday evening concluding performance, local favorite Steve Cottrell will be performing.

There will also be a Meet and Greet Reception taking place on Thursday, September 15. You may request tickets to this popular event by sending a note to Boulder City Chautauqua at Post Office Box 61994, Boulder City, NV 89006-1994.
