Check Out the Community Gardens November 9

Did you know that the City of Boulder City has a Community Garden? Local gardeners rent plots from the city and maintain their own gardens there. It's a great alternative for those with limited gardening space and the gardeners with plots there are very kind and helpful.
This Saturday, November 9 from 8:30AM to 12:00PM, the Community Gardens will be hosting their Autumn Garden Festival. This is a great event for families, as there will be fun things for kids, as well as informational demonstrations for adult gardeners. The gardeners will be opening their new free Little Library on Saturday. There will also be plants and arts and crafts for sale so be sure to stop by and see what's available. Several Master Gardeners from Boulder City Grown will be on hand to answer questions and give advice. Be sure to check out the Worm Farm, the Pollinator Garden, and other features of the Community Gardens. They are located adjacent to the Old Water Treatment Plant, at 300 Railroad Avenue.
To find out more about the Community Gardens program and to add your name to the waiting list for a plot, contact the City's Parks and Recreation Department Monday thru Thursday, from 7:00AM to 6:00PM. For more information about this event, you can call Cheryl at (702) 549-0506,
