Local student, Chloe Croft, is the national winner of the Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest. Chloe is a 13-year-old eighth grader at EM Garrett Middle School, where Mrs Sorenson is her art teacher. While she has been a talented artist from a young age, this is the very first contest she entered to showcase her ability. The theme for the contest was “Together as One”. She was sponsored in the contest by the Boulder City Lions Club.
Chloe, the daughter of Hillary and Aaron Croft, has two older brothers, Zach and Jake. The family is very supportive of Chloe’s endeavors and they were obviously thrilled when she won the contest. She would like to be an artist when she grows up. She counts her father as one of her inspirations, as he taught her many of the skills she employs as an artist. In addition to art, Chloe is also an actress, performing with the local troupe Young Hearts Theater Group. They will be performing The Lion King Jr the next two weekends, which we told you about HERE.
