It’s time again for the Semi-Annual Chocolate and Wine Tasting, hosted by the AAUW (American Association of University Women).
The event will take place this Saturday, Nov. 12th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at the Boulder Dam Hotel (the patio if it’s warm enough…otherwise, indoors). It’s a nice, casual affair — you just get your friends together, then pick a table to relax around. The hosts walk around refilling your wine glass and make sure they keep the plate of chocolates on your table full. All the chocolate you can eat and all the wine you can drink for $10 — doesn’t sound too shabby!
The AAUW is well known for its annual Home Tour (which will be Dec. 10th this year — but more on that later). Funds they raise at both events go toward providing scholarships for Boulder City females that are graduating from high school and attending college. They also have a scholarship for a female that has at least 60 credits, but had to cut short her college education for some reason such as raising kids and now is returning to college to finish her bachelor’s degree. Nice.
