Here’s your handy dandy info about Boulder City’s FREE Christmas Tree Recycling Program for this year!
- The drop-off is once again located in the parking lot north of Bravo Field at the corner of Eagle Drive and Sixth Street
- Residents may drop off trees at this site 24 hours a day from now through January 16th, 2025 (please cut trees over five feet tall in half)
- Trees must be free of all lights, tinsel, ornaments, etc. (foreign materials can ruin the chipping machine when the trees are ground up)
- Trees with artificial snow cannot be recycled (non organic-materials are not good for mulch and compost mixtures)
Note, the City tells us that if you just leave your tree out curbside for pickup, then it is NOT recycled – if you do that it just goes straight into the general landfill, which is quite wasteful if you ask us!
Also available (for the serious gardener green-thumb types) is fresh mulch if you’re willing to drive over to Henderson. Free mulch is available at Pecos Legacy Park, 150 Pecos Rd. and Acacia Park, 50 Casa del Fuego St. Bring your own shovel and container. We encourage you to use mulch under your trees to provide nutrients, limit weed growth and limit mechanical damage to trunks.
If you have any questions, just call over (702) 293-9200 and they can assist you! You can also visit the Springs Preserve website and learn more about the Christmas Tree Recycling Program HERE.
