Cindy Ford of Southwest Diner to be Honored

Cindy Ford, the owner of the very special Southwest Diner and the Bar Next Door, located at 761 Nevada Way is a 2026 recipient of the Heart of the Community Award. This award, given by the Boulder City Hospital Foundation recognizes individuals and groups who represent the very best of Boulder City. Cindy is a deserving recipient. You may recall that during the COVID-19 crisis, Cindy and her staff stepped up and provided food to school children community members at her own expense. She also generously shared food items with members of the community when grocery stores shelves were bare. More recently, during the government shutdown in the autumn of 2025, she provided meals to those affected by the shutdown. Also, she hosted a fundraising dinner for Laetyn Lawrence, a young girl facing a significant health crisis. Her generosity and loving heart make her a deserving honoree.
