Occasional power outages are inevitable, but the city recently introduced a new system for notifying and tracking outages throughout the city. If the power goes out at your home, reporting is simple. Just click HERE and you will be taken to the city’s website, where the reporting tool is located.
The interface is simple. All you need to do is follow these steps:
- Click the “Report an Outage” button.
- Locate the outage by using the drop down box provided.
- Then follow the next steps (either an outage is known, or confirm and continue).
This alert will confirm the outage and notify city personnel immediately. This allows the appropriate staff an opportunity to check the system, verify that an outage is occurring, and mobilize the necessary resources for repair work. You will be kept up-to-date on the progress of the repair if you include your phone number in the report.
