City Personnel Decisions Announced

The City recently announced the hire of Brittany Waiker, City Attorney, Ms. Walker has been working for the City in an acting capacity since October 2020 and was offered the permanent role in April in a unanimous decision. Her final contract was approved during the Special Council Meeting on Wednesday, May 19. Ms. Walker gained her law degree in 2017. Her prior legal experience includes work at Holland and Hart LLP and the Nevada Legislature.

In other personnel news, the city has made a conditional offer to Taylour Tedder to become the next City Manager during the same Special Council Meeting yesterday. Mr. Tedder, current assistant City Manager in Leavenworth, KS, has not accepted the offer yet. He was the first choice of three of the City Council members, according to the documentation submitted with the agenda item. Mr. Tedder holds a Master of Public Administration degree, which he earned in 2013 from Wichita State University.
