The Boulder City Police Department is restarting its “Coffee with a Cop” outreach, beginning next Thursday, August 4th at 1:00PM. The event will take place at Dam Roast House/Browder’s Book Store at 554 Nevada Way. “Some residents are unsure of the best way to ask officers for advice or information,” said Taylour Tedder, City Manager. “Boulder City Police Officers are accessible and here to help. The Coffee with a Cop gives residents a chance to meet with us in a relaxed environment. We especially appreciate Dam Roast House for allowing officers to use their facility.”
Coffee with a Cop is the community’s way to meet with BCPD officers to discuss local issues. For August, the topic will be Back to School Safety, hosted by Commander Aaron Johnson. You must RSVP HERE to attend, with the subject line “Coffee with a Cop”. “Parents often have questions about back-to-school safety,” said Commander Aaron Johnson. “As a parent myself, I felt it was important to meet face-to-face with residents to talk about everything from traffic and pedestrian concerns, to stranger danger, and much more.”
