Commission Decision ~ 701 Park Place

Meeting Room

I’ve received a number of emails with folks asking to know the outcome of the Planning Commission’s meeting on Wednesday night relating to I Am Free, Inc and use of the property at 701 Park Place.

Although I have hopes that this post doesn’t stir everything up again (so help me out with that if ya can), I did hear that the Planning Commission denied the application for a conditional use permit at 701 Park Place – meaning that the property cannot currently be used as a church. Therefore, the other agenda item (for a parking variance) became moot and was not considered.

I do understand from someone who was there that council chambers (where the meeting was held) was standing room only and even overflowed into the hallway — so people definitely came out on this issue.
