Community Volunteer Events for Saturday, September 19

There are two community events on Saturday, September 19 that we want to tell you about. The first is the annual Heart and Hands Volunteer Fair. This is your chance to meet local nonprofits from Boulder City, Henderson, and Las Vegas to learn more about the organizations and sign up to become a volunteer. There are so many great causes out there that could use YOU to help them achieve their service goals for the community.

The fair takes place at the Parks and Recreation Department Gymnasium, located at 900 Arizona Street. Plan to stop by between 9:00AM and 12:00PM to meet with nonprofit representatives and match your talents to the organizational needs of the group. Enjoy some free coffee and donuts and enter to win raffle prizes! It’s gonna be a great time for everyone!

Speaking of fun, the other project taking place on Saturday, September 19 is the Mosaic Tile Painting Project. Registered volunteers will each paint a tile to be installed in a mosaic along Wyoming Street, near Beer Zombies. Those who are chosen for the project need to check in at the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department Gymnasium (900 Arizona Street) and then proceed to the painting stations outside in Bicentennial Park. Remember: it’s necessary to register for this one, so scan the QR code below and enter your name for a chance to leave your mark on Boulder City!

Both events are sponsored by our good friends at Main Street Boulder City. Check out their website HERE to see all the upcoming fun and projects they have scheduled for Historic Downtown Boulder City.
