The Boulder City History and Arts Foundation is sponsoring a special exhibit for renowned local artist, Connie Burnett Ferraro. Connie is well-known for her beautiful artwork that has showcased our area at various periods in time. The foundation summed her career perfectly:
“Her vibrant and iconic murals, drawings and paintings reflect her deep connection to the region’s history and culture.”
Furthermore, the artist herself describes her approach to art:
“Painting brings such joy to me especially when things are flowing and there’s unity and spontaneity. One of my most favorite things are portraits. I try to capture the beauty within my subject and put it on canvas.”
This exhibition will take place over two days: Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7. On Friday, join Connie for a meet and greet from 5:00PM to 9:00PM. Saturday’s exhibition will be from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. All activities take place at the Elaine K Smith Center, located at 700 Wyoming Street and art will be available for purchase both days. The exhibition is open to the public and there is no cost to attend. Light refreshments will be served both days.
