Does anyone else feel like coughing?
It would seem that geologists from UNLV have discovered the widespread presence of potentially toxic, asbestos-type minerals in rocks and dust in and around Boulder City.
And we’re not the only spot — it’s apparently throughout a chunk of the Eldorado Valley with “tendrils that reach to the shore of Lake Mead and into the oldest parts of Henderson”, as reported in a Las Vegas Review Journal article that you can read by CLICKING HERE.
The article reports that UNLV geologists are saying there is enough asbestos to pose a hazard, but they don’t know more at this point…so “it would be a good idea to avoid dust from those areas.” Yikes!
