The Boulder City History and Arts Foundation has announced a call for artists and other creatives to decorate salvaged roof tiles for a fundraiser auction in May 2022 (specific date and location to be announced). The auction will benefit both the Boulder City History and Arts Foundation and the Boulder City Arts Guild.
The Historic Roof Tile Project uses beautiful clay roof tiles salvaged from the Historic Water Treatment Plant. Tom Marvin suggested incorporating an art project using the tiles. The tiles are then used by artists for creating mini portraits, landscapes, or whatever the artist selects. All tiles should have a historical theme related to Boulder city
The artwork is auctioned off to help the two art groups to fund their activities throughout the upcoming year.
If you are interested in participating, please contact the Boulder City History and Arts Foundation at 702-461-6842 to get your own tile to decorate. We will bring a selection of tiles to you to choose from.
