Today kicks off the virtual Dam Short Film Festival and you can buy your Household Pass and start watching these amazing short films as of now!
Also, today at 4:30pm will be the Live Stream of the Opening Ceremonies, which is just the first of several such events that you can take part in. If you haven’t checked things out on their web site, then get there HERE and see all that’s going on!
From THIS PAGE HERE, you can get your Household Pass (which at $140 is a steal!) or see the schedule and buy individual blocks of films, just like when you would attend live in previous years. What’s awesome, is that you can purchase blocks of films as in the past if you don’t want to purchase them all. AND, when you purchase and then ‘unlock’ your films, you then have up to 5 days from that point to watch them. So this really becomes an ‘on demand’ streaming opportunity, within that time period. What we loved last year (after buying the full Household Pass) was the fact that we often couldn’t attend in person to all of the blocks of films we had wanted to see. But now with this system, we could watch in the evenings during my normal ‘tv viewing hours’ or on the weekend. So many years there were blocks I wanted to see, but could not take time off work on a weekday, during those dates that they were live.
Also just like during the in-person events, WE still vote for and determine the winners! After each block of films, you can vote for your favorites (thru 2pm on Sunday please) and then on Sunday they will award the winning films via another live streamed event!
Organizers say that sales have been good this year, so let’s remember that this amazing organization brings a whole lot of in-person visitors to our town each and every year. And this year while it’s a virtual only event, we want to make double sure they have what they need for the years ahead – enjoy!
