In welcome news to many in the community, it was announced earlier this week that Dollar Tree had acquired the rights to lease all eighteen of the 99 Cent Store locations in Clark County, including the one in Boulder City, at 806 Buchanan Boulevard.
According to local media reports:
Dollar Tree did not say which leases in Nevada it had purchased, though a post on LinkedIn from Bill Read of Retail Specialists listed three stores where Dollar Tree will take over: Boulder City, Tropicana Avenue and Fort Apache Road, and Spring Mountain Road and Tenaya Way. (Link HERE)
Although Dollar Tree will not be offering fresh produce, as the 99 Cent Store did, they do offer a variety of products at lower than average retail prices. Currently, the closest Dollar Tree store is at 1400 South Boulder Highway in Henderson, near the intersection of Racetrack Road and Boulder Highway. Having a Dollar Tree location in Boulder City should be a welcome addition, rather than having an empty storefront. The new store is reportedly scheduled to open in the fall of 2024.
