Retrospective: The Many Strange Films of Lee Lanier
Before co-founding the Dam Short Film Festival with his wife, Anita, Lee worked many years in film production, digital visual effects, and 3D animation. From his days in the film program at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, to his years working professionally in Los Angeles and the Bay Area, he directed, animated, and edited a number of commercials, PSAs, trailers, music videos, and short films. The short films have played more than 200 film festivals worldwide, plus a few museums. This retrospective includes over three dozen examples of his work – but be forewarned, there’s some strange stuff here!
