The City of Boulder City announced that it had awarded a contract to Acme Underground to perform trenching and installation of electrical conduits, underground vaults, and concrete pads. The successful bid was $821,817.00. Work began yesterday in the downtown area.
This project will update and modernize the electrical system along Nevada Way, from Elm Street to Fifth Street. This will improve efficiency and the electrical infrastructure in the area. As a result of the work, there will be intermittent detours in the project area that will impact traffic flows from time-to-time. These detours will take place at various times during the project, which is expected to last several months. Drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians are asked to use caution in the area and follow the signage and temporary traffic control devices. A map of the project area is shown.
Upon completion of work by Acme Underground, City of Boulder City Electric Division crews will install the City’s electrical equipment. The entire project is slated to cost $1,438,616.00. For questions or concerns please contact Greg Lindsey by clicking HERE.
