How long does it take to cruise from the corner of S. Jones and Badura in Vegas up to Boulder City? Well, that long after 10:00am this morning is when you can expect to see a whole lotta cars cruising into town as they head toward Pratte Soccer Field and the Splash Park in Veterans Memorial Park for the 4th Annual Las Vegas Racing Scene End of Summer Cruise & School Supply Donation Drive.
Every year, Las Vegas Racing Scene (the largest local online community and publication in the Las Vegas Valley that connects individuals with the common interests) holds a car cruise that benefits Southern Nevada students in need.
This year, they’re starting at the Starbucks located on the corner of S. Jones and Badura and heading up into Boulder City, where they will hold a show-and-shine event. Last year’s End Of Summer Cruise brought 250 confirmed attendees, who all donated to our charity and brought the hottest cars out for show. This years End Of Summer Cruise is expected to be their largest event to date, with a larger venue and more sponsors, including our own Albertsons, the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce, Findlay of Henderson Honda and many more.
Their combined efforts and donations will benefit St. Jude’s Ranch (and Olive Crest in Las Vegas), so if you want to head over to Veterans, they’d love to have you join in on the fun. And if you’d like to contribute to the School Supply Donation Drive, bring over any of the following items you might have on hand: backpacks, erasers, calculators, pens, notebook paper, rules, compass protractors, pencils, spiral notebooks, scissors, index cards, crayons, packet folders, pencil holders, glue, water colors, markers, boxes of tissue, hand sanitizers, glue sticks, highlighters and pencil sharpeners.
