Entrance fees will be waived at Lake Mead National Recreation Area Jan. 15 in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Fees for camping, lake use or use of concessions still apply.
The Lake Mead rangers will also take place in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in downtown Las Vegas at 10 a.m. Jan. 15 as they join the community in celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the 36th annual birthday parade.

BBSC Lake Mead Marathon, Jan 21
Over 600 athletes will race through Lake Mead National Recreation Area Jan. 21 for the BBSC Lake Mead Marathon. The run begins at Boulder Beach and continues on the River Mountains Loop Trail.
