The Boulder City Library will host a number of events in November that patrons are certain to want to participate in so settle in while we tell you all about them!
First of all, the Library is having their annual Open House on Friday, November 3 starting at 4:00PM. This is an extra special open house because they will also be “cutting the ribbon” so to speak on the Makerspace they’ve been building for the past several months. We discussed that in detail HERE. You can tour the space, along with the rest of the library on Friday. In addition to the open house and grand opening of the Makerspace, they are also showing a movie at sunset in the library’s amphitheater. Bring your own chairs, pillows and blankets to stay comfy during the movie, Elemental. The animated movie, from Disney Pixar, is rated PG and you can learn more about it HERE.
If you have an interest in Mixed Media art, you can attend one of the ongoing classes on Saturday, November 4 at 1:00PM Signups are required but supplies will be provided by the library.
Easy Does It Yoga moves to a new time this month. It will be on Fridays at 1:00PM in the Community Room.
The Southern Nevada Health District will provide vaccinations to members of the community. COVID-19 vaccinations are NOT available. To see which vaccinations are available at the pop up clinic, click HERE. The mobile clinic will be Wednesday, November 8 from 10:00AM to 1:45PM.
The popular Becca’s Book Club meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 10:30AM in the Board Room. The theme for November is Female Authors.
Want to design your own Christmas (or other holiday) cards this month? The library has that covered! There’s a new class on Thursday, November 16th called “Create with Canva”. Canva is a free online graphic design program that lets you create all kinds of amazing things like invitations, menus, flyers, social media posts, and more. You can check it out HERE. Signups are required for this class so make sure you call right away to reserve a space.
The library is welcoming back Rose Kingsley, opera singer, featuring the music of Johnny Mercer. The event, A Diva’s Tribute to Johnny Mercer, will take place at 2:00PM on Saturday, November 18 in the amphitheater. She will be performing favorites like Moon River, Autumn Leaves, and more. This is a free event so plan to check it out.

This class is for patrons 16 and older and is scheduled for Saturday, November 25 at 2:00PM. Make over your dinner leftovers and dazzle your friends and family!
