We’re super excited to share with you an early preview of a new business coming to the area that’s due to open on or around March 1st!
Meet Shannon Webb, (below) and the early ‘road testers’ we got to hang out with today on these fun electric bikes…
That’s right, we said electric bikes!
If you’ve ever looked at pedaling uphill and decided you just couldn’t do it – then this is for you! When you are pedaling, you have the option to just use your own leg power, or…if you need some help, you simply engage the silent electric motorized ‘boost’ to help you out.
They’ll be offering both guided and self-guided tours. The plan is that they will base their operation out of one or both of the casinos on either edge of town. (Those details being finalized as we type.)
Rides will be available for a variety of trails and rental times locally, and would allow you to bike easily through the Historic Railroad Trail, Lake Mead Hover Dam Trails, and the River Mountain Loop Trail, and possibly others.
Youths as well as adults can ride, and your rental includes both a helmet and a backpack for carrying water, snacks and other essentials. So all you have to do is dress the part!
They also plan to expand into offering the tours to visitors from Las Vegas – which we know then brings folks into our town for a bit of enjoyment and helps boost local businesses too.
Shannon says they’re finishing off the web site soon – so we’ll keep you posted on when you can book your own rentals for this fun new way to ride in the great outdoors!
