Yep, it’s true – if you haven’t heard the news, Facebook has changed the content that is displayed in your personal news feed. Which means that you might have a harder time finding our posts on Facebook!
Facebook has cut down on the amount of advertisers, or sponsored content in our personal news feeds – which is great for most of us. But it also means that overall the number of posts you see from all businesses, including non-advertising, local news posts from a page such as ours – Boulder City Social, also declines.
But there’s an easy way to make sure that our local news, chit-chat and other fun stuff always stays in your feed. So just follow these quick steps to adjust your News Feed Preferences:
1. From any page on your Facebook account (like your home page) simply click the down arrow symbol.
2. From that menu, choose the News Feed Preferences option.
3. Then, you can see and click on “Prioritize who you see first”. We’ve got an example of what you’ll see, below.
4. When you’ve done that, scroll through your listing and find Boulder City Social and make sure you click on and select us.
Then…we’ll always show up in your news feed and you won’t miss all the important Town Happenings we like to keep you up-to-date on.
