Fall Fun at the Boulder City Library

The Boulder City Library, located at 701 Adams Boulevard, has announced its events and activities for September.

Ages 0-5 Programs:
Tuesdays at 10:30am Toddler Tuesday Storytime: Ages 1-3 and caregiver, Board Room. Join us for stories, songs, and a coloring sheet.
Thursdays at 9:30am Early Risers Lapsit Storytime: Ages 0-2 and caregiver, Community Room. Join us for stories and songs.
Fridays at 10:30am Drop in Storytime: Ages 0-5 and caregiver, Board  Room. Join us for stories, songs, and crafts.

Ages 6-11 Programs:
Thursdays, September 1 & September 15 at 4pm Lego Building Challenge: Ages 6+, Community Room 9/1, Board Room 9/15. We provide the Legos, you provide  the imagination!
Thursday, September 8 at 4pm Coding Club: Ages 6+, Board Room. Join us to explore the basics of coding.
Saturday, September 10 at 1pm Art Club: Ages 6+, Community Room. Learn about art concepts and make your own art to take home.
Thursday, September 22 at 4pm Building Club: Ages 6+, Community Room. Relax and build with your friends.

Ages 12-18 Programs:
Thursdays, September 1, September 8, & September 22 at 2:30pm Teen Thursday: Ages 12-18, Community Room. Color, play board games, and hang out with your friends.
Tuesdays, September 6 & September 20 at 3:30pm Roleplayers’ Guild: Ages 12-18, Community Room. go on a quest, fight dragons, and loot the villages!
Monday, September 19 at 2:30pm Maker Monday: Ages 12-18, Teen Area. Learn how to make your own buttons.
Thursday, September 29 at 2:30pm Teen Volunteer Meeting: Ages 12-18, Community Room. Learn what it takes to be a teen volunteer at the  Library and earn an hour of service credit!

Ages 18+:
Tuesdays at 2:30pm Crochet for a Cause: Board Room.
Fridays at 12pm Easy Does It Yoga: Ages 18+, Community Room (Board Room on September 16).
Friday, September 2 at 5:30pm After Hours Movie: The Lost City (PG-13): Ages 13+, Community Room. Bring snacks, a comfy blanket,  
pillow, or chair.
Sunday, September 4 at 3pm Afternoon Board Game: Ages 18+, Community Room. Chronology Board Game with Prizes.
Thursday, September 8 at 6pm Come Write In: Ages 18+, Community Room. Join us for this creative writing workshop. All skill levels welcome.
Wednesday, September 14 at 10am Becca’s Book Club: Ages 18+, Community Room.
Saturday, September 17 at 1pm Mixed Media Art: Board Room, Sign-ups required.Sunday, September 4 at 3pm Afternoon Board Game: Ages 18+, Community Room. Chronology Board Game with Prizes.

Family Programs:
Saturday, September 3 at 9:30am Stories and Stretches: All Ages,Community Room. Stretch out and listen to fun stories for the whole family.
Wednesday, September 7 at 10am Immunization Clinic with Southern Nevada Health District: Ages 18+, Community Room.
Monday, September 12 at 2pm Homeschool Hangout: Ages 6+, Community Room. Learn from other homeschooling families in the community
Tuesday, September 13 at 6:30pm Family Storytime: All Ages, Community Room. Listen to stories, do a craft, and spend time with your family.
Friday, September 23 at 5:30pm Family Game Night: All Ages, Community Room. Play games with your friends at this after hours game night.

Tech Teachers:
Back by popular demand, tech teachers are available in September! To sign-up for a one-on-one time, please visit the information desk or  
call the library at 702-293-1281. Tech Teachers are available on Tuesdays at 1pm & 2pm, Wednesdays 12pm & 1pm, and Thursdays 12pm & 1pm.

Special Community Events
September 16-18 11am-4pm Book Sale in the Community Room
Monday, September 19 at 10am-2pm Blood Drive, Ages 18+, Community Room.
Wednesday, September 21 at 6pm Library Board of Trustees Meeting: All Ages, Board Room.
Saturday, September 24 at 11am Ancestry Club: All Ages, Community Room. Learn from other as you research your family history.
Saturday, September 24 at 2pm How Not to Burn Toast: Beans, Beans the  Magical Fruit: Ages 18+, Community Room.
Sunday, September 25 at 2pm Origami: Ages 10+, Community Room, Sign-ups Required. Learn how to make cool Modular Origami.
Tuesday, September 27 at 5:30pm Roleplayers’ Guild: All Ages, Community Room.

Please not the library will be closed the following days in September: Monday, September 5th for Labor Day and Wednesday, September 28th for Staff Development.
