What a beautiful scene sent to us by fan Kathi Twomey. She tells us that this hummingbird is nesting in her light fixture with two eggs! This is such a special discovery! Hummingbirds nest from late winter to early summer, depending upon the breed of the hummingbird. Female hummingbirds are responsible for nest building, incubating the eggs, and then caring for the young. The process takes from 5 to 8 weeks! We always love to feature photos from our readers.
