Feathered Friends at Lake Mead

Fan Photo Terri Marie Boulder City, Nevada

Let’s look at some natural beauty today, shall we?

Fan Terri Marie sent us this photo of some “pelicans and a few cormorants, preening and relaxing…an awesome sight!”, and we agree!

The pelicans are easy to figure out, but I am completely ignorant on the cormorants, the smaller black birds in the photo, so I checked them out on Wikipedia. These ones appear to possibly be the Double-crested variety. Anyhow, they’re fish eating water-lovers, and their cute so we like them too, along with the pelicans, of course.

We love hearing from you, and seeing the photos you take of life around our area, so send them in to us HERE on our online form.
