Wow — yesterday’s post with the video about St. Thomas, Nevada went wild and a few people mentioned in the Facebook comments that they’d like to visit there … so VOILA!
You may not know that Lake Mead’s low water levels have exposed St. Thomas nine times since it was originally flooded in 1938 … the latest being in 2002 and it has remained exposed since then. It’s a great adventure to take (especially now that the weather is cooling off a bit) and the National Park Service has even created a Visual Field Guide for folks who would like to visit St. Thomas.
You can download it by CLICKING HERE and then be sure to read up on what to bring, the pet policy, directions from Boulder City, rules on leaving the artifacts alone, and so on. Enjoy your outing and BE SAFE!
